Moses leads the people to Shur, where they complain that there is no water. G-d saves them. G-d tells the people to obey His commandments and G-d will keep them healthy, G-d heals. People come to Elim and camp there - 16. Children of Israel arrive to the desert of Sin and complain that they are starving
G-d feeds the children of Israel with manna and meat Shabbat is for rest, do not go out to gather manna. G-d provides for you on Shabbat. G-d tells Moses to preserve some manna as evidence for future generations - 17. Children of Israel camp at Rephidim and complain that they have no water to drink

SHABBAT - A DAY OF COMPLETE REST – Those who desecrate it shall be put to death G-d gives Moses two stone tablets of the testimony, written with the finger of G-d - 32. People force Aaron to create the golden calf, and they worship it
G-d tells Moses what the people had done. He decides to kill them and make Moses into a great nation. Moses pleads with G-d to save them and G-d reconsiders His decision. Moses descends from the mountain carrying tablets of G-d’s work, inscribed from both sides Moses sees the calf and shatters the tablets at the foot of the mountain Moses burns the calf and forces the people to drink it, he gathers the tribe of Levi who never failed to believe in G-d and they kill 3000 men who were most responsible for the sin Moses returns to the mountain. He asks G-d to forgive the people or erase his name from the Torah. G-d erases names of the sinners from the Torah and he strikes the people with a plague. - 33. G-d tells Moses to take the people to Israel with an angel leading the way. G-d decides not to lead them Himself, to avoid being angered and destroying them
Moses pitches a tent of meeting outside the camp and talks to G-d there. People prostrate themselves upon seeing the pillar of cloud descend at the entrance of the tent. Moses asks G-d to lead the people Himself and G-d agrees, for Moses had found favor in his eyes Moses asks to see G-d. G-d’s glory passes by Moses. G-d does not show Moses His face in order to preserve Moses’ life. - 34. G-d tells Moses to create two stone tablets like the ones he broke and ascend Mount Sinai
Moses proclaims G-d’s greatness and asks Him to forgive the people and go in their midst G-d forms a NEW COVENANT with the people, elevating them among the nations and commanding them to follow no other gods nor marry into idol worshipping families, to celebrate Pesakh, redeem the firstborns, rest on Shabbat, celebrate the festival of Weeks, appear before G-d 3 times a year, keep the sacrifice blood away from leaven, finish the Passover offering before morning, bring the choicest first of the soil to G-d, don’t cook a kid in its mother’s milk G-d tells Moses to inscribe the words of the covenant, THE TEN COMMANDMENTS onto the tablets. Moses stays with G-d for 40 days. Moses descends with the tablets of the testimony, his face becomes radiant because G-d spoke with him Vayakhel
- 35. Before starting to work on the Mishkan, Moses reminds the people to SANCTIFY SHABBAT

- 40. G-d tells Moses how & when to start the Mishkan service and Moses does so
Moses setup the Mishkan in the first month, in the second year, on the first day of the month The glory of G-d fills the Mishkan. Children of Israel travel only when the cloud of G-d rises.
